*Kennel Name Identification Clause* - WE, Dorian and Chelsea Steinfeld, hereby affirm that "D&C Royal Dachshunds" is the official kennel name under which we operate as a dog breeder. For all legal and contractual purposes, our name Dorian and Chelsea Steinfeld, and our kennel name, D&C Royal Dachshunds, are to be considered synonymous and represent the same entity as well as “seller and breeder” in the context of this agreement.

Limited Health Guarantee: Genetic/Congenital Conditions

Limited Health Guarantee: Genetic/Congenital Conditions -D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC guarantees that the dog is in good health and has no genetic or congenital defects to the best of the breeder’s knowledge, unless noted, at the time of sale. The dog has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. It is important that you continue vaccinations and deworming. Please do not expose your dog to public areas or other dogs that are not vaccinated until he/she has completed the entire vaccination schedule - around 16-20 weeks old. (Keep in mind worms/parasites are a common condition in young puppies even with preventive measures, it is important to follow a deworming schedule per your veterinarians’ recommendations.)

D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC now partners with Trupanion, to help ensure your pet is protected from the start! Your new puppy will receive a month of free medical coverage at no cost to you! The said puppy is guaranteed against life threatening illness, accidents & injuries for 30 days Via the free Trupanion insurance. The buyer must activate the free insurance with Trupanion within 24hours of pickup for the Limited Health Guarantee to be valid. The buyer at their own expense, should have the dog examined by a Licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the said puppy/dog. If within 30 days from picking up a licensed veterinarian finds the said puppy to have a life threatening or altering genetic/ congenital defect that jeopardizes the quality of life for the said puppy/dog the buyer may return the puppy for a replacement puppy of equal value (when a puppy is available). Provided that the said puppy/ dog has not been injured or neglected.

For a replacement puppy to be considered the buyer must provide a written statement along with health documentation from a licensed veterinarian to show proof of diagnosis. There are no refunds or monies given back under any circumstance. Once the puppy leaves our care D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC is released from all responsibility and no longer held liable for future illnesses and diseases.

It is the request of D&C Royal Dachshunds that any knowledge of medical conditions that develop in puppies bred by D&C Royal Dachshunds is essential to the breeding program for improving the breed, therefore, all medical conditions or genetic defects or deformities discovered in the dog must be reported D&C Royal Dachshunds by the Purchaser within 24 hours of the first veterinary examination in respect to any medical condition, genetic defect or deformity.

D&C Royal Dachshunds does NOT guarantee size, color/pattern, eye color, coat length, temperament, and/or house-training abilities. D&C Royal Dachshunds does NOT guarantee against any non-genetic condition, disease or injury that is caused by:

inappropriate diet, excessive exercise, injury (deliberate or accidental), abuse, untimely or inappropriate veterinary care. Dachshunds are susceptible to back injury. Exercise and excessive jumping before can be detrimental to their joints. Obesity can also play a contributing factor to the dog’s health. Please ensure the dog is always kept on a healthy diet and given appropriate exercise. This will give the dog the long, healthy, and pain-free life it deserves.

This guarantee does NOT cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury from the buyer. This guarantee does NOT include minor illnesses and health issues such as parvovirus, Kennel Cough, colds, allergies, under/over bites, internal or external parasites (examples: Giardia, roundworm, tapeworm, hookworm, coccidia etc.) or umbilical hernias etc... However, the breeder will disclose any known illnesses or health issues prior to the sale. D&C Royal Dachshunds is not liable or responsible for any veterinary bills or medication expenses arising after the Date of Sale, or for death of the dog due to accident, injury, abuse or neglect, or for compatibility of the dog with other animals. D&C Royal Dachshunds will not pay for treatment(s) or emergency veterinary visits unless written in this agreement. If you have questions about whether D&C Royal Dachshunds will cover treatment, please call before the treatment is administered.

Terms and Conditions (Non-Negotiable):

1. Reservation fee and Payment of Purchase Price. Buyers have paid a nonrefundable reservation fee in the amount of $_____________, this fee is to cover sellers time along with removing said puppy/dog from any private or public listing. In the event buyers decide to cancel or change their mind they understand this fee is nonrefundable however, may be transferable if agreed upon between buyer and seller. There is a remaining balance of $____________due on or before _____________. The expected delivery date is_____________, or such other date that parties have mutually agreed upon.

a. Accepted forms of payments Zelle, cash, Venmo(Friends and family), PayPal (friends and family) apple pay or Gooddog (There is a 6.5% fee added to Gooddog’s final payment) In order for other payment alternatives to be used or the 6.5% fee to be waived buyer must have found me on another platform other than Gooddog, if buyer has found me through Gooddog ALL payments must be processed through them.

b. Final and all payments regardless of how paid must be paid 72 hours prior to pick up to allow payments to be processed.

Return Policy: To ensure that Buyer does not euthanize the Dog or take it to an animal shelter, D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC will take the Dog back at any time during the Dog’s lifetime. D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC will not issue a refund or provide another Dog to Buyer.

Buyer Representations:

The Dog will reside with Buyer as a companion pet to Buyer and Buyer’s family.
Buyer will keep the Dog in an enclosed area of adequate size and will not allow the Dog to roam at will. Buyer will not keep the Dog chained or tethered or permanently house the Dog in a kennel.
Buyers will provide the Dog with nutritious food and necessary veterinary care, including deworming, and regular vaccinations (including rabies).
Buyers will have the Dog spayed or neutered between the age of 12 and 18 months.
Buyers will not sell, give, or release the Dog to a pet shop, retail store, dog dealer, animal testing facility, research facility, agent for any such business or facility or any other persons other than D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC.
In the event Buyer can no longer keep the dog, it shall be returned to D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC without reimbursement.

Registration (If applicable): If the said dog is eligible for AKC registration the documentation will not be released until after the spay or neuter documentation is received. Once received the Breeder will provide the registration certificate.

Indemnity and Release - If any action or failure to act on the part of Buyer shall result in any claim, suit, loss, damage, injury, death, or liability, Buyer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold D&C Royal Dachshunds harmless and not liable for any costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, any amount paid in settlement and any award or judgment with respect thereto. Buyer releases D&C Royal Dachshunds from all liability, costs or damage caused by the Dog after placement with D&C Royal Dachshunds, including but not limited to damage to or destruction of property, and injury to any person.

Terms and Conditions (Non-Negotiable) continued:

Agreement to Mediate: If a dispute arises out of or relates to this Agreement, or the alleged breach thereof, and if the dispute is not settled through negotiation, the parties agree first to try in good faith to settle the dispute by mediation by a mediator chosen by the Breeder before resorting to arbitration, litigation, or some other dispute mediation resolution procedure. The process shall be confidential based on terms acceptable to the mediator and/or mediation service provider.
Disputes: All disputes are encouraged to be handled personally with the Breeder. Should things go horribly wrong, either party may use the legal system first utilizing mediation. Whether the disagreement is small or large, both parties agree not to “bash” the other on social media or other platforms that may harms one’s reputation.

Limitation of Action: Any action or claim brought by Buyer against D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC for breach of this Agreement or for loss due to negligence must be brought within one (1) year of the of this signed agreement.

Entire Agreement: This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the parties. D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC and Buyer(s) no other agreements, promises, representations or warranties, express or implied, have been made unless specifically stated in this Agreement.

As of the date__ ______________, the said canine is in good health with no known health issues. The said canine will be seen by a licensed veterinarian prior to leaving Seller’s care. If any health concerns or issues arise the seller will notify the buyer(s) immediately.

Friendly Reminder: Puppies/Dogs can take time to adjust to their new environments, other pets and/or people. This is normal please allow time for them to become acquainted with everything. We are always here for you if you have any questions or concerns!

This dog/ puppy is being sold on a strict neuter/spay agreement it will be a breach of contract if this canine was bred whether accidentally or on purpose. D&C Royal Dachshunds LLC can pursue legal action against sellers if breeding occurs. Once proof of spay or neuter is received and buyer wishes to obtain registration (if applicable) seller will provide documentation.

In the event Buyer can no longer keep the said canine the buyer can relinquish (no reimbursement will be given) the said canine back to D&C Royals Dachshunds to avoid said dog being placed in shelters or abandoned.

Both parties accept and agree to be bound by the attached Terms and Conditions governing the purchase and sale of the dog.

By signing this contract- I acknowledge that I have read, understand and AGREE to all terms and conditions written within this contract. I The Buyer acknowledges that unless written in this contract there are no other promises or guarantees being made by the (Seller).
